<span style="font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;">With the new year and the Maker Space coming together there are a
lot of new things for our students to utilize, including new iPads. We will be
focusing on STEM/STEAM lessons as the rest of the year goes on with problem
solving and persistence being some of our main focus.<br />
<br />
We will be using the following tools for the rest of the year:<br />
<b><i><u>Osmo</u></i></b>
- </span><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;">Osmo makes hands-on
learning games in which players use objects in the real world to interact with
the digital world shown on their iPad or Fire tablets.</span><span style="font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;"><br />
<b><i><u>Dash
and Dot Robots</u></i></b> - <span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial;">Kids can watch
their virtual coding turn into tangible learning experiences in real time as
Dash, with its performance and multiple sensors, interacts with and responds to
its surroundings.</span><br />
<b><i><u>Sphero
Bolts</u></i></b> -</span><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;">Sphero BOLT’s
eye-catching, programmable 8x8 light matrix opens up an endless array of coding
and gaming capabilities. Use advanced sensors to track speed, acceleration, and
direction, or drive BOLT without having to aim your robot thanks to the
compass. BOLT also features infrared communication, allowing your robot to
“talk” with other BOLTs. Equipped with Bluetooth SMART and a strong
scratch-resistant shell, this robot’s brawn matches its brilliance.</span><span style="font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;"><br />
<b><i><u>Little
Bits</u></i></b> - </span><span style="font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;">littleBits is a hands-on learning
system of electronic building blocks that allows students of all ages to create
with technology.</span><span style="color: #47018b; font-family: "Baskerville Old Face",serif; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;">Our
snap-together Bits are easy to use and simple to understand, no prior
experience required.</span><span style="font-family: "Baskerville Old Face", serif; font-size: 14pt;"><br />
